So I will be updating even less than my usual infrequent updates over the next few weeks, as beginning Wednesday I will be traveling in England! I'll be in Cornwall and Devon for most of the trip, with some time in London at the beginning and end of the trip.
My aim is to try to tweet at least photo every day, so you can follow me on Twitter or by the embed below to see what I'm up to while I'm in Poldark country.

Far from the Madding Crowd
For those of you who, like me, are going through Poldark withdrawal, and missed Far from the Madding Crowd when it was in theaters, I won't say it's a complete cure, but it was extremely good. In a movie of this length, I don't look for complete accuracy, as much must be compressed, but I thought it did well in staying as true to Thomas Hardy's novel as could be done in the timeframe, although it did attempt to elevate the characters to the status of complete gentry, when at best they were gentlemen (and gentlewoman) farmers. Mostly, I'm not buying what they're selling with Farmer Boldwood's house for a farm of that size.
But I digress. If you haven't read Far from the Madding Crowd, I very much recommend it, both for the unique love quadrangle, and the agricultural rhythms that govern the book, and at one time governed so much of England.
